Blogger Maxim Poletaev published the first gameplay on the Gabe Follower 2 YouTube channel CS:GO on the Source 2 engine. Valve Studio is in no rush to port the shooter to the new version of the engine, so the team of modders took it upon themselves.
The video shows the result of six months of work. According to the creators, there is not a single line of code from the original shooter in their project – everything works based on S&box from the maker Garry’s Mod. It will be possible to easily integrate new mechanics into a new game without running the risk of “breaking” the old code.
The blogger warned that since the game is only six months old, viewers may notice several visual and gameplay issues.

In the coming weeks, the blogger will release another video, in which he will talk in more detail about the development process and the difficulties the team faced.
