It seems that Ubisoft has decided that they gambled on the wrong character. Users noticed that the company removed the dark samurai yasuke from the pre-order page Assassin’s Creed: Shadows.
Players of the NeoGaf-Forum were the first to notice the change. If the banner previously showed Yasuke and Naue together, you can now only see the Shinobi girl when you visit the Ubisoft website. Both characters should play an equivalent role in the future Stealth promotion game, but now they have decided to build the marketing campaign around Nau only.

Ubisoft previously corrected the description of Yasuke on the Assassin’s Creed: Shadows Steam page for Japanese audience. If the hero was previously called a ‘samurai’, he now bears the title of ‘a warrior who can resist a thousand enemies’. Presumably the Studio tried to appease Japanese players who could not appreciate the character.
Let’s remind you that Assassin’s Creed: Shadows will be released on PC, Xbox Series X/S and PS5 on 20 March. The action takes place in Japan in the 16th century during the Sengoku period, where gamers will play like two heroes with their own unique skills and various gameplay mechanisms.
Ubisoft recently showed new gameplay for Assassin’s Creed: Shadows and released a story trailer. Moreover, system requirements have appeared.
