Games Workshop has reportedly canceled an unannounced Warhammer Fantasy role-playing game being developed by Thought Pennies, a studio founded in 2020.
The information was published by MP1st, which examined the profiles of Thought Pennies employees on LinkedIn.
The project had reportedly been in development for several years and at first everything went well. However, in 2024, the studio faced mass layoffs due to a change in strategy by an unnamed publisher. For this reason, the game lost necessary funding.
According to the rumor, the project was developed on the Unreal Engine 5 for various platforms. The game is said to have a co-op, third-person mode, PvE content, a combat system with a mix of melee and ranged attacks, and unique characters.
Let’s not forget that we previously reported that Sony also canceled two unannounced games, one of which belonged to the God of War series.
