MOBA promotion for third parties SMITE 2 has switched to an F2P distribution model, as the developers previously promised. It is worth noting that the project was released in early access in August last year and received 59% positive reviews.
It’s worth noting that the Founder’s Editions are still available for purchase, which include several in-game bonuses and access to future additional gods.
The F2P version of SMITE 2 contains the following content:
- 45 gods, including the newly added Aladdin and his genie;
- 6 game modes, including new “Duel”, “Duel” and “Assault”;
- Improved version of the Conquest map with new objectives;
- 20 path options to choose from.
Additionally, the developers reported that they have made many fixes and optimization improvements to the game since its release in early access.
SMITE 2 is based on the Unreal Engine 5. In the game, gamers have to fight each other while playing as different mythical gods.
You can download SMITE 2 for free on Steam, Epic Games Store, PS Store and Xbox Store. The game is in open beta testing.
