Icelandic weightlifter Hafthor Bjornsson, who everyone knows as Gregor Clegane from Game of Thrones, performed a deadlift with a weight of 450 kg. The athlete’s feat has already been nicknamed “data traction”, because thousands of SSD drives played the role of weights.
The presentation took place in Atlanta at the SC24 conference. For example, Bjornsson promoted the new 128 terabyte discs that Philson will release. Their total capacity was a whopping 282 petabytes – fans of ‘heavy’ games were probably a little jealous.
Philson has not yet announced the price of the device, but journalists believe that buyers will have to pay at least $ 10,000. So it’s likely that in the video above we’ve seen the most expensive deadlift in history.
We discussed which SSD you should choose in 2024 in a separate article.
