There is a possibility that the shooter STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl may be banned in Russia. This was stated by the First Deputy Chairman of the Duma Committee on Information Policy, Anton Gorelkin, to the Daily Storm.

The news portal quoted the deputy’s words from an interview in which Anton Gorelkin mentioned possible restrictive measures:
I believe that STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl has every chance to be officially banned in Russia… I do not rule out that if illegal information is discovered in the game content after its release (extremism, justification of terrorism, incitement to ethnic hatred, etc.), the strictest measures will be taken.
The publication also included comments from lawyers, asking whether purchasing the game could lead to criminal charges. Lawyer and human rights activist Mikhail Mushailov said that for this it is necessary to prove that the gamer deliberately sent money to support organizations hostile to the Russian Federation. However, he still recommended against purchasing.
Note that there is no official ban on STALKER 2 in Russia yet. The official release of the shooter is scheduled for November 20, the game will be available on PC, Xbox Series X/S and Game Pass.
It was previously announced that STALKER 2 was in the TOP 10 sales on Steam.
