Publisher indie.io and development studio Permanent Way Games have released the adventure action game The Land of the Magnates on Steam, made in the spirit of the Prince of Persia series. Early reviews are positive.
The action takes place in a magical world based on Middle Eastern myths. The main character is the disgraced prince of the Land of the Sun Malik Shahbaz. One day his kingdom is plunged into darkness and the hero himself is accused of a murder he did not commit. The character will have to prove his innocence, bring peace to his country and save his father from death.
“From the cursed Black Forest to the dark-shrouded Land of the Sun, from the domain of the Water Princess to the marble lands of the Monkey Kings, Shahbaz will have to break ancient curses and defeat the vile minions of darkness with the help of his trusty sitar, and solve complex puzzles that require quick thinking and nimble fingers.says the description.
The project is based on the Unreal Engine 5. During development, the authors relied on the history and culture of Arabia, Persia, India and Byzantium.
