Studio OtaKing Animatio has released a short anime film based on Alien. According to the authors (only two people were involved in the graphics) the work lasted six whole years.
Visually, the film is inspired by classic 80s anime. The story follows the crew of the mining ship Thanatos, who arrive at the mine and are confronted with an alien threat. The main character Ashlyn tries to escape the xenomorph, but she will have to make sacrifices to do so.

The short was released on July 23rd and at the time of writing had been viewed 500,000 times. Viewers noted that some of the animations looked a little rough, but for such a small team, this was a remarkable achievement.
Let us remind you that next month the movie “Alien: Romulus” will be released, which will be a soft reboot of the popular franchise. We wrote about the debut trailer of the movie here.
