The Prayer Room Key is an important item in the expansion. Shadow of the Erdtree in front Elden Ring, which is used to open a specific door. How to get the prayer room key
The key can be earned by defeating Fire Knight Queelign twice. This enemy can be found near the Mercy in Belurat, Tower Settlement, and in the Church of the Crusade in Scadu Altus.
Where can you use the prayer room key?
Players who wish to use the Prayer Room Key must first visit the Shadow Keep’s Church District. This journey begins at the Moorish Ruins in Scadu Altus. You’ll need to head southeast from the Place of Grace to find a ruined building with a tall tower.
Go along the northeast side of this building and then descend into the abyss. There is a tunnel leading to a ladder – you will have to climb this structure.
Once you reach the top of the stairs, you will enter Bonny Village. Continue east until you reach the bridge leading to the Village Site of Grace. From there, follow the road north (to Grace Place on the Ecclesiastical District Road), then continue northwest to reach the Ecclesiastical District in Shadow Fortress.
Note: One of the golems will come across this path, though you don’t have to fight it.
Go through the Shadow Keep church area. The church area is underwater, so time your jumps carefully to avoid drowning right away. Beware of rotten corpses that will try to explode near you.
After activating the Place of Grace in the Church District, you need to jump onto the roof below it and go to the other side. Here you need to stand on one of the roof ledges and jump onto the wall ahead. Now go to the other side of the wall, turn right and use the scree ramp to reach the raised ledge.
On the edge we turn left and jump onto the roof that is further ahead. Then turn left again, go to the other side of the roof and jump onto the support on the left. This support leads to a part of the roof with a hole, where you have to jump and step onto a stone arch.
Use the arch to reach the platform at the back of the room, then turn around and go to the ground floor. This is exactly the door that requires the key to the prayer room.
What is in the prayer room?
In the prayer room you will find Fire Knight Queelign, curled up on the ground, desperately praying to Marika. He will ignore you if you interact with him while you continue to pray.
He seems to be in bad shape. You can’t do anything or place an Iris Of Grace or Iris Of Occultation on it if you have such items.
- When you use the Iris of Grace, you will receive Fire Knight Queelign Spirit Ash;
- If you use the Iris of Eclipse, you will receive Queelign’s Greatsword;
- If you leave, it will remain in that location so you can return later.
Using an Iris on a knight will result in his death. The only difference (other than Quiline’s reaction) is the reward you receive: Quiline’s Fire Knight’s Spiritual Ash or Quiline’s Greatsword.
Also keep in mind that using Iris on Quiline doesn’t actually consume Iris, so you’ll be saving it after you use it on him.
Where can you find the Eclipse iris?
You can find several Eclipse Irises in the Shadow Fortress itself, as well as one in the Fortress of Reprimand, which is located on the hidden second path to Scuda Altus.
Where can you find Iris of Grace?
There is only one Iris of Mercy – it is also located in the Shadow Fortress, at the end of the can-filled area at the bottom of the elevator on the first floor of the Warehouse Tower.
