The Let Loose presentation took place on May 7, showcasing Apple projects that will be released in the near future. In addition, the company is working on other developments in various areas. Our article is dedicated to them.

The new iPad Pro uses two OLED screens simultaneously, allowing you to produce high-quality images. The screen refresh rate varies from 1 to 120 Hz depending on the content. The processor chosen is a ten-core M4 chip, which can perform up to 38 trillion operations per second. It will also be used in future MacBook and iMac all-in-one models. Its main feature is full support for artificial intelligence features. The Magic Keyboard, which is not compatible with other devices, is being released specifically for the new iPad Pro.

An iPad Air with a simpler M2 chip will also be available for purchase. The benefits include a 12 megapixel camera with Central Stage function, which allows you to focus on all participants in a FaceTime call at once. It shoots video in 4K resolution at 240 frames per second.

You can also watch the demonstration of the new Apple Pencil Pro stylus with a vibration motor and a gyroscope. This allows you to press your fingertips on the device itself to select objects on the screen and activate other functions. They promise that there will be a special scroll gesture for the most precise control of the stylus.

Special servers will be put together to take advantage of the capabilities of the M2 and M4 chips. They are needed to process data using artificial intelligence. It is stated that Apple will actively use AI not only in new devices, but also in devices that are already on sale. For example, it will help improve standard applications – the Safari browser, the Siri voice assistant and the Spotlight Search search engine.

The sixteenth iPhone will look little different from previous models. They promise a new display, made using microLED technology, characterized by increased brightness and improved energy savings. Internet speed will increase thanks to 5G modem chips and support for Wi-Fi 7. The camera is equipped with a periscopic lens, which allows you to increase the viewing angle by 12%.

A total of five versions of the phone are presented: iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max and iPhone 16 Ultra. The latter has the largest display, the best camera and a special design with a complete absence of ports.

Flip phones, which were popular in the early 2000s, may be coming back into fashion. This is the chosen form factor for the new iPhone with a diagonal of 7.9 or 8.3 inches, which will be available before the end of 2026. The foldable iPad Mini will hit store shelves around the same time. Depending on the model, the diagonal ranges from 8.3 to 12.9 inches.

In addition, Apple has patented a foldable MacBook. The main difference from a regular laptop is the absence of hinges. Instead, a flexible body is used.

One of Apple’s new patents is a device that lets you use gestures to control smart home functions. This includes turning equipment on and off with the snap of a finger, adjusting the light with a wave of the hand, and so on. Specific actions are set by the user himself. The patent claims that the gadget uses IMU (inertial measurement unit) sensors: a gyroscope, an accelerometer and a magnetometer. Apparently the device will be attached to the wrist. In addition to communicating with home appliances, he is expected to enter voice commands and access various online services.

This gadget can become an alternative or even a replacement for the Apple Watch. A ring with a built-in microdisplay allows you to monitor the user’s health, receive calls and make payments. Operation is done using gestures. Expected to be compatible with iPhone and iPad.

The description of such a keyboard may seem funny, but in fact the ability to automatically delete garbage is very useful. Moreover, we are not just talking about breadcrumbs, but also any small objects that get stuck between the keys.

A patent was recently approved for a device with focused sound waves and a microphone. The user can listen to music or receive incoming calls from the phone but not disturb others. This approach does not block out surrounding sounds, unlike conventional headphones. There are already jokes online that this gadget resembles a communicator from the Star Trek series.

Pencil Pro, which we talked about at the beginning of the article, does not offer anything radically new. However, Apple’s patents claim interesting features for such electronic pens. The first concerns the ability to draw in the air and transfer the resulting image to a tablet, phone or computer. The second lets you copy a color from the environment into the iPad workspace to work with later.
