Helldivers 2 is a third-person shooter set in a science fiction world. Users will have to fight numerous alien invaders while completing tasks. Either way, you can immediately invite them to your group or send them “Friend Code”which can be generated on the left side of the screen.

Your friends also have the right to join during the company if the selection settings are set to “Open for friends”. The same applies if you set the settings to “By Invitation Only”you must invite other players before they can join your team.

If there is no one in your friends list to invite, Helldivers 2 gives you the option to complete tasks with random allies. To enter someone else’s contest, go to “Battle Table” and select the option “Fast game”. A list will open of players who have activated their SOS beacons and are actively looking for allies. After you join someone else’s company and complete all the tasks, you can find people in the list “Recently Played” and add them as friends for further progress together.

Moreover, you can easily start your own session in Helldivers 2 and wait for others to join. To do this, just go to the menu “Institutions”select “Options” and make sure your lobby is set to “Public”. Now any user can join your lobby.

Helldivers 2 focuses on teamwork. In it you can gather a team of up to four people and immerse yourself in a hostile environment while completing tasks. After completing the assigned tasks, the team members must call for evacuation and survive the last wave of enemy attacks until the transport ship arrives. Gamers can then obtain various skill and equipment upgrades, as well as change elements of their current setup.

In addition to the high dynamics of battles, different combinations of ‘strategies’ bring peculiarity and variety to the players’ experience. Stratagems are essentially real-time customizable abilities of various pieces of equipment that units use in battle. Helldivers 2 is currently only available for PlayStation 5 and PC. There are currently no confirmed plans to release versions for other platforms. However, anyone playing on any of the currently supported platforms can join co-op missions with people on another platform using a generated invite code.

Please note that the shooter do not support function for synchronizing saved files when moving from one platform to another. But the Helldivers 2 developers have stated that they plan to add it some time after release.

The project does not support single-screen co-op or local multiplayer options. If you and your friend don’t have access to separate copies of the game on different devices, you won’t be able to play the campaign together except through online matchmaking options.

This feature may not be available because Helldivers 2 is too demanding to support split-screen playthroughs. This speaks to both the technical requirements and the need to see as much of the battlefield as possible at any time.
