What is the most efficient way to travel the world? Palworld? This is the fastest flying friend you can find. The fastest creature is the one that can be obtained late in the game, but there are several other good options. In this guide, we have provided a list of the fastest flying friends in the game.

Palworld Guides

Having one of the best flying mounts in Palworld will allow you to move quickly through the world around you, easily reaching the highest cliffs or crossing huge bodies of water with minimal effort.

In Palworld, mounts come in different shapes and sizes, but here we are talking about flying mounts. Your first task is to catch one, then you will have to put some effort into unlocking the upgrade and then crafting special equipment.

Best passive skills for flying

All mounts in the game have a partner ability that allows them to do this. In most cases, you will need to craft a key item to ride Pal.

Friends can also have one to four passive skills. There are many such skills, and you can judge whether they are good or bad by the color when you look at Pal. Gray passive skills are usually buffed somewhat, sometimes at the expense of another stat. Golden ones are always stronger: three arrows next to the name are better than two. And red ones will always be negative.

For a flying horse, you need one of the following passive skills for a small boost:

  • Agility (Agile) – increases movement speed by 10%;
  • Runner – increased movement speed by 20%;
  • Swift – increases movement speed by 30%;
  • Legend – attack +20%, defense +20%, increased movement speed by 15%.

Legend is a unique case in that it focuses only on legendary friends, but also applies to a certain friend who is undoubtedly the best flying horse in the game.

Best flying mountains in Palworld

Choosing the best flying mount in Palworld ultimately depends on how you want to build your team, what type of battles you want to use the mount for, and how quickly you need them.

Flying mounts are first unlocked around level 15. It’s impossible to determine which Pal is the best as there’s always some subjectivity involved. The list also takes into account their strengths in combat and other skills.

Nightwing

blank

  • Paldek ID: 038;
  • Element: Neutral;
  • Skill: Companion;
  • Active skills: Unknown;
  • Drop: Learn.

There’s really only one choice here. This is a creature that most of you have already encountered: Nightwing. This is the most trustworthy friend you will ever meet. It takes you on your first journey through the skies and shows you how powerful aerial combat can be when done right.

Nightwing is just the size players need to get started. While he isn’t the fastest mountain, he is certainly faster than some other friends in the early game thanks to his gigantic wings. The downside is the mediocre, neutral attacks.

The creatures are also relatively easy to catch, as they are only level 17 when they appear. Just keep a few regular (blue) orbs or mega orbs on hand to catch them.

Elphidran

blank

  • ID Paldek: 080;
  • Element: The Dragon;
  • Skill: Friendly Sacred Dragon;
  • Active skills: Unknown;
  • Drop: high quality oil.

Elphidran’s aerial skills go beyond transportation. He can skillfully use his flying skills to dodge attacks, demonstrating a strategic advantage in battle. Additionally, Elphidran uses a poisonous purple burst to damage his opponents.

The charming blue dragon is introduced to the map at level 30 as an alpha boss. Unfortunately, his flying speed is quite slow compared to his other friends. If this is your only option, it’s still better than nothing for the early game. He also has a pretty decent set of attacks that set opponents on fire.

Vanwyrm

blank

  • Paldek ID: 071;
  • Element: Fire/dark;
  • Skill: Air Marauder;
  • Active skills: Unknown;
  • Drop: bone, gold coin, ruby.

Next up is Vanwyrm. These Pals spawn somewhere between level 20 and 30, depending on where you encounter them. They are only marginally faster than Nightwing, but the difference is still noticeable. Creates a whirlwind when you run forward and has good fire attacks. Vanwyrm is a Fire and Dark type, meaning you get the benefits of two Pals in one. He also has quite a bit of stamina. They are also very strong in combat, especially against Ice and Grass type friends.

To catch them, you can try your luck with a Giga Sphere or a Hyper Sphere. The latter gives you a greater chance of success. Unfortunately, the Crystal Saddle is locked to level 21. However, this buddy has a good combination of flying speed and combat.

Astegon

blank

  • Paldek ID: 098;
  • Element: Dragon/darkness;
  • Skill: Black Ankliosaurus;
  • Drop: metal rod, pure quartz.

One of the best flying animals during the game in Palworld is Astegon. He has one of the best combat stats in the game, but not the highest speed.

The only downside is that you can’t use it until you reach level 40 or higher. So if you don’t mind slower flights, Astegon can be quite useful in dogfights.

Ray bird (Beakon)

blank

  • Paldek ID: 073;
  • Characteristics: Electric;
  • Skill: Thundering;
  • Drop: Electric organ.

They can be found in the middle and high parts of the map. This means you’ll have to travel quite a distance from your original spawn point. They are of the electric type.

The only thing that lets this friend down is his lack of strength in battle. However, keep in mind that it has one of the best power generation stats in the game. They are quite difficult to catch. The saddle recipe is unlocked at level 34 in the technology tree after obtaining this Pal.

Ragnahawk

blank

  • Paldek ID: 074;
  • Element: Firework;
  • Skill: Flamewing;
  • Drop: Flame organ.

Next up is Ragnahok. If you’ve captured Vanwyrm before, you’ve probably seen Ragnahok. They are usually found in similar locations. The Fire Bird not only possesses astonishingly powerful combat capabilities, but is also incredibly fast. Ragnahok also helps you make blocks in the camp.

At this point you will probably notice the ultrasphere. Hyper Spheres can work, but the capture speed is much slower. If you have a high enough level, getting caught shouldn’t be a problem. It is only possible to create a mount from Ragnahok after you have reached level 27.

Helzephyr

blank

  • Paldek ID: 097;
  • Element: Dark;
  • Skill: Wings of Death;
  • Drop: poisonous gland.

Helysephyr is one of the best flying mounts in Palworld, as you can unlock his saddle at level 33. The intimidating dark sidekick not only looks epic, but has the stats to back it up.

It can be found northeast of the starting point, in the dense forest and around the rocks. At night you can find them near Hypocrite Hill on Moonless Shore. Their glowing feathers make them easy to spot from a distance.

If you manage to catch this buddy, you can expect decent combat and flying characteristics, making it one of the most reliable mounts out there. To ride Helzephyr, you must unlock the saddle recipe in the technology tree.

Quiver

blank

  • Paldek ID: 095;
  • Element: The Dragon;
  • Skill: Love for the heavenly dragon;
  • Drop: high quality oil.

If you’re looking for an all-round friend, check this one out. The charming dragon not only knows how to fight and fly, but also has an incredible set of characteristics. The Quiver can also perform almost any task in your camp.

Suzaku

blank

  • Paldek ID: 102;
  • Element: Firework;
  • Skill: Wings of Flame;
  • Drop: organ of the flame.

Suzaku is one of the best firebrand friends in Palworld, which makes him useful to your camp. The fearsome flying friend also has some of the best combat stats in the game, especially if you can get his water form. The only downside is the flight speed, as it is not as fast as the other Pals on this list.

Shadowbill

blank

  • Paldek ID: 046;
  • Element: Dark;
  • Skill: modified DNA;
  • Drop: metal rod, carbon fiber, innovative technical manual.

While not the fastest mount in this category, Shadowbeak has the strongest combat stats at this level. So if you’re looking for a strong flying mount that can deal massive damage in battle, this is your choice.

Faleris

blank

  • Paldek ID: 019;
  • Element: Firework;
  • Partner equity: Air mounting;
  • Drop: organ of the flame.

Meet Phaleris, a truly majestic creature in Palworld. Its impressive wings are decorated with intricate tribal patterns, and its vibrant yellow, tufted mane stands out against its fascinating black facial features.

Phaleris is the first flying animal in Palworld and truly surpasses all other aquatic friends in terms of flying speed. First of all, it differs in how quickly it can move you around the map. Faleris’ only downside is his fighting abilities.

Frostallion

blank

  • Paldek ID: 110;
  • Element: Ice;
  • Skill: Ice Horse;
  • Drop: ice organ, diamond.

Frostallion is the best flying animal in terms of strength in combat, but he is not the fastest. After all, dealing devastating damage is a big bonus.

Jetragon

blank

  • Paldek ID: 050;
  • Element: The Dragon;
  • Skill: Air rocket;
  • Drop: pure quartz, polymer, carbon fiber, diamond.

Fast and incredibly destructive, Jetragon is one of the last flying mounts you’ll ever need.

Jetragon is one of the most dangerous friends in the game. You are unlikely to encounter him in the early stages of the game and at any of the lower level starting locations. It’s located on the western side of the map, around the volcanic zone, behind a giant metal wall. Bring heat-resistant armor to survive the climate, as well as the best weapons and Palov you can find if you want to take on this beast. Make sure you bring more than one Legendary Orb. No other sector can handle this.

The second most difficult part of obtaining this flying mount is crafting the saddle, which requires you to reach level 50.
