As the hero’s level increases Palworld players will encounter new buildings that require metal blocks. Sometimes it’s not entirely clear where to get them and how to make them. In this guide we describe how to craft metal ore, how to make blocks and what objects can be made with it.
Palworld Guides
How to work metal ore
Metal ore is mined from special deposits scattered throughout the open world of Palworld. Unlike the piles of rocks you see everywhere, the metal deposits are much larger and have a brownish-white tint. You can obtain it in different ways: manually with a pickaxe or with a certain kind of fire.
Works great initially Rashoah – an animal that resembles a wild boar. However, in the future you will be able to find and catch more advanced mining fires. In the later stages of the passage, you can even use flying fire with special types of attacks.
As you travel through the open world, mark the deposits you find on the map markings. After mining, they will recover in a few days and you can return and collect the loot.

For example, we found several boulders with ore not far from the fast travel point – collecting ore in this case is very useful. You can also use the interactive map, which we describe in detail in a separate guide.
How to make metal blocks
To obtain blocks, you must reach level 10 and unlock the ‘Primitive Furnace’ technology. To build it, you will need the following resources:
- Wood (20);
- Stone (50);
- Flame-making organ (3).
If wood and stone are not difficult to obtain, flame producing organ you receive only for killing fires of a certain type, or rather, fires.

At first, you can find small fox cubs in forest biomes Ruby. Kill several animals to get a flame organ, and also capture at least one individual.
In later stages of survival, the ‘Technology’ section opens improved oven (must reach level 34). With its help, melting will proceed faster. And after another ten levels you can build electrical oven.

What types of fires are required for ignition?
As we noted earlier, initially it will be useful to light the furnace and melt ore into ingots. Ruby. This little fox not only copes well with the assigned tasks at the base, but can also become a good companion when exploring the open world.

Besides Ruby, a little later you will find other friends who have this ability “Starting the Fire”:
- Reptiro – a gigantic fire monster that can not only create fire, but also mine stones and ore;
- Arsox – a crowd that looks more like a ram of fire. Besides lighting fires, he also cuts down trees;
- Flambelle – a little girl, more of a doll. He knows how to make fire, make objects, transport things, and also grazes in the meadow and occasionally takes a flame organ with him.
At higher levels in the volcanic biome you will find other fires that can do this job. However, we recommend that you have a friend at your base with one specific type of work skill, because this way he will only be busy with one task. For example, Ruby will certainly start smelting metal ore into ingots, while the fires mentioned above can find other work and simply won’t make it to the furnace.

What are metal blocks used for? What items can be created
Starting at level 10 of hero upgrading, players will need blocks everywhere. With their help, high-level workbenches, a weapons workshop are created, nails, armor and weapons are made.

Currently, these are all the available ways to farm metal ores and blocks in Palworld. If you notice an inaccuracy or want to supplement the guide, you can write about it in the comments.
