Star Rail – how to beat the boss

You can fight the “Star Destroyer” for the first time when you complete the quest “Sparkle, burn my brilliant star”, where the Pathfinder must see Ruan Mei’s “headache” in the isolated zone. After defeating the enemy, the dungeon “Echoes of War: Old Wormhole Crater” appears, in which you can again arrange a battle with Skarakabaz and receive materials for leveling tracks, as well as other rewards.

The battle with the Star Destroyer is divided into two phases. During them, the enemy makes powerful movements and constantly summons sting bugs, which actively remove HP from the characters in the group. Below we will analyze in detail all types of enemy attacks, their weaknesses and strengths.

Like all enemies, Skarakabaz has its own vulnerabilities. The enemy’s shield can be penetrated by physical, imaginary, and ice damage.

The Bug Lord only has resistance to one type of path: the Quantum path.

The new weekly boss may seem like a challenge, especially during the first story you play. To defeat the enemy easily and without losses, you need special tactics. Just as important are the right heroes who can both deal damage and support the team’s survivability.

To defeat the enemy as quickly as possible without losses for the team, certain characters are needed.

Moon Eater – due to his abilities, he is good at causing damage to both one target and adjacent targets. But you have to remember that his attacks ‘eat’ a lot of skill points. He can have Hanyu, Yukun and Locha as his allies.

Jing Liu – being a character of the Path of Destruction, she is capable of dealing immense damage to both Skarakabaz and his minions. However, the heroine takes away the health of other party members to strengthen herself, so a healer is needed on her team who will not let the others die. To combine with Jing Liu you can bring Cheetah, Ruan Mei and the heroes of the path of Abundance (Natasha, Lynx, Hoho, Locha).

Ruan Mei — the new heroine can deal well with the enemy thanks to her skills. She is able to quickly break through Skarakabaz’s defenses, and when her ult activates, she prevents the Bug Lord from restoring his defenses. Either way, Ruan Mei won’t take the place of the main damage dealer in the squad – she needs allies specifically focused on dealing damage. You can include Pelu, Cheetah or Jing Liu in her team.

Argentina – the skills of the Knight of Beauty are able to hit not only Skarkabaz himself, but also Stingbugs, instantly removing HP from them. In addition, the appearance of new monsters on the field restores the hero’s energy. Argenti plays from the ultimate goal and therefore needs a lot of energy. Hoho and Tingyun can help with this, and Armor ensures that Argenti can walk more often.

Clara – Thanks to Svarog, which protects Clara and counterattacks the attacker, you can quickly destroy the Stingbugs without attacking them directly. Instead, the party can focus on killing the bug while the smaller enemies blow themselves up one by one. However, Clara’s counterattacks are not always strong enough to destroy mobs. You can put Lynx and Yanqin on her team.

Welt – slows down and weakens enemies, good at destroying bugs thanks to his skill and ultimate, which hits multiple targets at once. With its help, you can not only break the vulnerability of the boss, but also evenly reduce the health of smaller enemies. Welt’s weakness is that he can’t be the biggest damage dealer because his damage is spread across several targets. Together with him in the group you can take the Lord of the Moon, Natasha, Luka or physical. Main character.

Lucas — does a good job of removing monster vulnerability and specifically targeting damage to Skarakabaz. Improved conventional attacks allow it to destroy it quickly. The hero is also good as a damage dealer in budget units. Susan, Natasha, Hanya and Fu Xuan play well with him.

March 7th — increases the squad’s chances of survival by applying a shield. Additionally, her ability allows her to remove debuffs from characters sent by the Bug Lord. Her skills allow you to significantly increase the team’s chances of survival, but you will have to leave skill points behind for her turn, which can become a problem for damage dealers who spend them. In pairs for March 7 you can take Yukun, Gerta, Hanyu.

Lynx – in a squad, the heroine mainly plays the role of healer, but she is also able to use her ult to remove all weaknesses and debuffs from team members, which is very useful in the battle with Skarakabaz. It significantly increases the survival chances of the entire team. Additionally, the heroine’s ability has a special effect on the Preservation and Destruction characters, forcing enemies to attack them more often. This is useful when these characters perform counterattacks after being attacked by enemies. Among them are Clara and March 7. You can also put Susan, Pelu or Yanqing in the squad with Lynx.

Natasha – one of the best healers for the battle with Skarakabaz. Not only do her abilities restore heroes’ health, they also remove debilitation. Additionally, Natasha’s normal attacks can penetrate the boss’s vulnerability, albeit only slightly. She is also able to restore skill points. It can be paired with almost any damage dealer, but Welt, Doctor Ratio, and Luka play best with it.

Chania – useful because it restores skill points and breaks boss vulnerability. It also improves the attack power and speed of allies, which is important for the main damage dealers. With Khanya’s help, the party can move more often and kill enemies faster, especially Stingbugs, which can cause major problems for the team. You can use Velt, Moon Eater, Locha or Luka as allies.
