Hideo Kojima left a secret in the teaser for his new game. Fans have proven that he is related to Silent Hill

An interesting discovery was shared on Reddit. When the video shows actor Udo Kier, letters occasionally appear in his mouth. Together they form the word Atami.

Now comes the fun part. One of the gamers believes that Atami is a reference to the city of the same name in Japan, located in Shizuoka Prefecture. In Japanese, the name of the prefecture is written as 静岡. The first hieroglyph is translated as “silent” (silent), and the second – as “hill” (hill).

Game Rant added that Atami may be directly related to the Silent Hill series. According to Japanese site Niconico Pedia, the original game was partly inspired by the Japanese city.

By the way, after the trailer was shown, Hideo Kojima entered the stage through the same door we saw in the famous Silent Hills demo called PT

We don’t know yet whether these references mean anything, or whether Kojima is simply making fun of his former colleagues. The Japanese game designer has not yet commented.
