There are many useful plants growing around your settlement, but you can also grow your own plants without leaving the village. It’s useful to have plants at your base because it’s an easy way to stock up on food when you need it most.

Placing a chest near plants allows you to store food so that all players can share it when they need it. It is better to keep a lot of seeds in your garden because you can quickly collect them on the go and not have to spend hours replacing seeds.

The first step is to make a shovel to dig out the soil. To build a workbench you only need three units of wood and five units of granite.

Next you need a sawmill; its creation requires five units of wood and 15 units of granite. Now it’s time to make a scoop. This requires three wooden sticks and one plank.

Grab your shovel and find a spot on the ground to dig out the soil. This can be any type of soft surface. Fortunately, the tiles you take the soil from are not destroyed during the process. Press R2 (on the controller) using the shovel. In this case, the land is automatically added to your inventory.

Fertilizers are easy to find, just walk around any location where there are animals and you will find brown piles on the ground – these are fertilizers. They are quite small and usually well hidden among grass and shrubs, so keep an eye out.

Seeds can be found in the wild as random drops from creatures, or in chests in ruined houses or caves. Sometimes chests can be well hidden, so destroy the walls and take a good look around.

Once you discover and start crafting granite items and building a stone crusher, you’ll unlock the recipe for a grain mill that produces seeds when you put food in it.

Below are all the seeds in LEGO Fortnite, where you can find them and what you can do with the food they yield. There are other fruits and mushrooms in the game, but they cannot be grown as seeds and are therefore not on this list.

Build simple enclosures from wooden half walls and lure the animals in by throwing food right at the entrance. Fences are not suitable because they are easy to climb over. Even a character can’t get over half the walls.

Once they have arrived at the treats, quickly build the passage by placing the last blocks of fencing. You now have your own livestock to care for and collect resources. The problem is that unfortunately the animal can disappear.

Don’t carry weapons around shy creatures. Experiment with different foods to learn your pet’s preferences. Pat multiple times to increase your chances of obtaining resources. Pay attention to prey such as eggs, milk, wool and fertilizer. Maintain cages to keep animals safe.

Use the materials obtained to prepare nutritious meals, craft useful equipment, and grow crops. As your farming community flourishes, the game’s possibilities expand.
