The American magazine TIME traditionally published a selection of the ten best games of the outgoing year. 2023 has become an extremely warm season, as many blockbusters like Hogwarts Legacy didn’t make it.
This year’s winner was Alan Wake 2. TIME journalist called the game “a celebration of the arts filled with meta-narratives, musical numbers and connections to the games Remedy, Control and Quantum Break”. Second place went, as expected, to Baldur’s Gate 3.
Remarkably, in the voting for The Game Awards 2023, the preliminary results of which have been leaked online, Baldur’s Gate 3 is currently in the lead.
