How to solve the giant shell puzzle in Genshin Impact

In the renovated Fontaine area Genshin Impact you will encounter new puzzles, including riddles with giant shells. To fix them, just take a few extra steps. In this guide we will tell you why large shells are needed, how to open them and get a precious chest.

In the Forest of Erinyes and Mort regions, players will encounter many puzzles involving giant grenades, but most of them are built into larger puzzles. This particular grenade is located near the Hydro Archon statue in the Erinyes Forest, next to Markoth Station.

To get the chest, you must first solve a small puzzle nearby to get the missing water level crystal.

Just to the right of where the sink is located you will find a floating crystal. Next to him is a device that allows gamers to acquire the skills of a xenochrome spherical octopus directly on land. Interact with it and direct energy to the floating crystal.

At the same time, platforms will appear above the ground – the only correct path to the chest and the crystal. Please note that the platforms will become invisible immediately afterwards, so you will have to navigate yourself, as you will not be able to restart the device until the timer has expired.

Once you reach the point, a regular chest will appear. The only rewards you receive are a few source stones and the missing crystal.

Return to the sink with the crystal. There are no hydrogranums around, so you will have to act differently. If you used the game tutorial, you should know that the giant grenades can open when you hit them. Perform several strokes and then break the stone into the sink. It will rain, the crystals will activate, and a precious chest and several small slimes will appear nearby.

These are not all sinks available in Fontaine. For example, if you find another giant shell, you will receive a treasure map.
