Sometimes you don’t want to play dynamic arcade games and sticky casual games on your phone, but something serious and well-developed, or at least more calm. The simulator genre can fascinate you for a long time, the main thing is to choose a project to your taste. We’ve collected ten different free simulation games for you, from archaeological digs to surviving in a post-apocalyptic wasteland.

They are all quite well optimized and will not work on the most powerful devices. Although, of course, in some projects the graphics need to be reduced in size. Also take a look at our range of games for two. Over several years we have collected many interesting projects – from true ‘classics’ to current releases.

Fallout shelter

Let’s start with the classics. Released in 2015 Fallout Shelter invites the player to take on the role of a Shelter caretaker. We will plan the development of this place, build a new premises, monitor the order and quality of life of people and, of course, send the survivors to the Wasteland for resources.

The game does not require much time, but you can develop it over months, spending half an hour or even less in the evening on your duties as a caregiver. Each settler has indicators on which his success in a particular undertaking depends. Gradually more and more people will appear in your shelter, so you will have to try to maintain comfortable living conditions.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp

Yes, Animal Crossing is also available on phones, albeit in a more “modest” version. IN Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp gets its hands on a small campsite that we will develop. Create a character, choose a camping theme (cute, cool, sporty or natural) and enjoy country life.

We will communicate with guests, fulfill their requests, make friends, explore the world and collect various resources, as well as create various furniture and other items. As you level up, you’ll expand your inventory, gain access to new resources, and attract new guests. The game has no ending, but it is a fun and enjoyable way to pass the time and get a dose of positivity.

What is the most important thing when gaming on smartphones?

Plague Inc.

Became a classic Plague Inc. For more than a decade, it has given players the opportunity to view viruses from “their” side. Choose a bacteria, virus or other dangerous disease, country of origin – and go ahead, infect humanity!

The player must balance severity, lethality and other parameters so that the disease is highly contagious one moment and fatal the next. The goal is to eradicate humanity, but be careful: the people are not sleeping and will try to create a vaccine.

With some diseases you can give orders directly to groups of infected people

Over the years, many “add-ons” have appeared for the game, offering to create a vampirism virus, a plague of “Planet of the Apes” and other interesting options.

Crane! To dig! My Museum!

Another unusual take on simulators is Tap! To dig! My Museum! Of course, the simulation here is quite conventional, but this does not make the game any less fun and interesting. We were entrusted with an abandoned museum, and now the player will excavate, look for fossils and collect various dinosaurs, like a puzzle.

With each exhibition presented, the number of visitors increases, and as the level of the museum, its character and its instruments increase, we can take on more and more complex ‘assignments’. And of course enjoy the beautiful exhibition halls!

Day R

Compensating for the brevity and simplicity of the graphics, Day R invites the player to explore all of Russia and nearby countries. We start in the north of the country, in the Murmansk region. A nuclear war has broken out and we, as survivors, must learn more about what happened and find a place in the new world.

Explore hundreds of cities in search of supplies, fight bandits and mutants, obtain resources, create equipment and weapons, and equip your base.

There really are a lot of different mechanics and items to craft in the game.

In the later stages of the game you can even build a real helicopter! True, it will not be easy to “feed” such a machine.

More interesting TOPs and selections

Good pizza, great pizza

Looks “calmer”. Good Pizza, Great Pizza, in which we become the manager of a small pizzeria. But don’t rush to relax! There are many customers and therefore orders are waiting for you! Create pizza with a variety of ingredients, from classic Pepperoni to completely crazy variations.

By completing orders quickly and correctly, the player receives extra tips. With the money you earn at the end of the day, you can improve the equipment and decorate the pizzeria to your liking. This is a fairly relaxing game that we don’t recommend playing on an empty stomach.

Truck Simulator: Europe 2

Another example of a “peaceful” game that still challenges the player. Just like in the well-known truck driver simulator on PC, in Truck Simulator: Europe we transport 2 different loads: clearly, quickly and without damage.

There are various trucks and trailers available in the game, and among the mechanics there is a management system: you have to keep an eye on the balance and keep your head above water without abandoning customers and leaving a little money behind. Interestingly enough, the graphical quality is a bit like the late 2000s version of Truckers.

AltLife – Life Simulator

AltLife – Life Simulator is a full-fledged life simulator, albeit largely text-based. Follow the life of your character: from birth to death. Study, find a balance between work and play, have relationships, have fun. In general life.

The game really has a lot of different activities: different types of work, mini-games, the opportunity to play on the stock exchange, buy a company, improve skills, a lottery, various diseases. The only disappointment is the lack of meta-progression, but here, as they say, everything is fair. You won’t definitely know all the mechanics in one playthrough.

WorldBox

WorldBox has come a long way from a modest idea to a fairly interesting and well-developed god simulator. The game is already more than 10 years old and has acquired many mechanics in that time, has been released on both PC and smartphones and has also gathered a large community around it.

What must we do? All. Create a world, change the landscape and biomes, revive civilizations and do whatever comes to your mind. Fortunately, there are many tools for this: fantasy powers, atomic bombs, UFOs, acid rain.

Obviously civilizations don’t exist here for show. They develop, respond to your actions, fight, explore and transform the world. You’re unlikely to be stuck with WorldBox for months, but it’s a great option to while away half an hour in line or on the road.

Car mechanic simulator 18

For many, the well-known series is unexpected Car Mechanic Simulator has made its way to phones, albeit in a slightly simplified version. In Car Mechanic Simulator 21 you have to do the same thing as always: repair and sell cars.

Gradually there will be more and more breakdowns, but the profit for the restored car will also increase. Rebuild the engine, change the suspension, clean and paint the car. Different brands of cars, trophies, a map and various activities can take a long time.

Did you notice anything from our list? And don’t forget to tell us in the comments about your favorite phone projects in the “simulation” genre.
