Mortal Kombat 1 is known for its very aggressive monetization. The developers recently added a Halloween fatality for $10, and the fighting game is getting a Thanksgiving pack soon. They are expected to cost about $30.
Many players were expectedly outraged by such an expensive price tag, which is why NetherRealm Studios had to organize an unplanned promotion. Developers promisedthat all owners of the Halloween Fatality will receive two new finishing moves for free.

The rest of the players will still have to pay a large amount. Many players are complaining that they already paid $70 for a fighting game, and are demanding that they at least add the ability to unlock fatalities in the game itself.
“How about we make it easier for us to get dragon crystals just by playing the game? This way you won’t get a reaction to these microtransactions.”-@RainyJady.
“The whole game is just another microtransaction. I regret buying it”— @s1nc0sx.
“Your monetization methods are predatory. I hope you go bankrupt at this stage.”— @steakdriven.
Previously, Omni-Man from the animated series ‘Unbreakable’ officially appeared in Mortal Kombat 1. He will soon be joined by Homelander and Peacemaker.
