Independent studio ACE has released a new gameplay trailer for their fantastic third-person action RPG AIKODE, created in the spirit of the iconic NieR vending machines.

The game will feature a “massive” open world filled with a variety of cyberpunk and steampunk cities. In addition, one of them will be a replica of Tokyo’s Shibuya district.
You can explore the in-game space not only on foot, but also on a motorbike. And in the game, the heroine can have wings that allow her to fly.

Other features include hardcore battles with giant bosses, a versatile weapon with three modes (it can become a pistol, sword or scythe), in-depth character customization (over 200 hairstyles and clothes), a skill leveling system, as well as many extra activities . For example, you can fish, play slots, sing in karaoke bars and develop relationships with other characters.
As for the plot, it will have a hidden meaning and philosophical undertones.
“Seven days ago you were born into a world that seems irrevocably doomed to repeat itself in an endless cycle of death. But perhaps there is a way to escape this grim fate: a child, a puppet, a pact. Just know, they say those who sign the contract are doomed…” – says the description.

AIKODE is being developed for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S (may appear on Switch in the future). There is a page on Steam. The engine of the project is Unreal Engine 5.
