As part of its recent TennoCon 2023 presentation, Digital Extremes has announced Warframe 1999, a massive update to the original game set to release in 2024. The developers have already shown the first gameplay footage of the official line-up of the rock band Nine Inch Nails.

Warframe 1999 takes players back to a dark past – to the origins of the Tenno saga (descendants of an ancient in-game civilization). There are very few details yet, but the media has already called the update a mixture Metal Gear Solid and Dark Sector.
“Long before the Old War, the actions of Albrecht Entrati cast a sinister shadow over the Source System. Who is he? What is its history? says the official description.
During the presentation, Digital Extremes also showed the gameplay of the Whispers in the Walls update, which will be released this winter. The update is a cinematic quest that puts players in the middle of a conflict between Albrecht Entrati and the Man in the Wall.

Gamers are waiting for a new secondary weapon: the alien Grimoire (a mystical book with an alternate fire mode). Other highlights include new factions (The Murmur and Necramechs), exciting boss battles, new merchants, an additional syndicate, and the Necralisk hub expansion where players can visit abandoned labs.
That’s not all. in October before Warframe is getting an update for the Abyss of Dagath that will add the 54th Warframe, a new story, a Blade and Whip weapon type, unique Halloween items and a variety of upgrades.
Digital Extremes hasn’t forgotten about fantasy co-op action Soulframe, which was announced last year. The developers showed the gameplay demo.

In addition, the authors promised to release Warframe Mobile (mobile version) in the future. In the App Store, the game can be added to the list of upcoming downloads. The description states that the project will be released on February 20, 2024.
