Speaking to Comicbook, Ed Boon, creative director of NetherRealm Studios, talked about a dream game he’s wanted to make for a long time if given the chance.
This project is a fighting game Marvel vs. A DC where superheroes from these two popular universes could finally face each other in fierce battles.
We have made several games with DC characters. If you were thinking as a kid, “Who wins a fight, Mighty Mouse or Superman?” They just come from different universes. There is a part of us that still thinks about such things. To me, having Spiderman and Batman in the same game would be the coolest thing in the world. So of course we would like to do that. But it is probably very difficult to overcome all obstacles.
It’s worth noting that Ed Boon conducted a survey last year in which he found out which game gamers from NetherRealm Studios would most like to see. As you can see, the fighting game Marvel vs. DC is even more desirable than the new part Deadly battle.
Despite his desire to make such a game, Ed Boon understands that the main difficulty would be to solve many problems with representatives of Marvel and DC. Be that as it may, there have already been similar collaborations in the comic world.
Recall that NetherRealm Studios is now developing Mortal Kombat 1 will be released on September 19 for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch. Recently, a legendary fatal accident from the 90s was found in the game.
