Phase spins can be very dangerous, especially early in the game. To fight them, various fire spells will come in handy. Set the web on fire, after which they fall to the ground and you just have to finish them off.
If the battle is near an abyss, you can try to push the spiders down. To do this, use repulsive spells, such as Thunder Wave.
How to find the Phase Spider matriarch

Prepare for battle against the matriarch
Before going to the spider queen’s nest, it is advisable to prepare:
- Find spider boots that protect you from the action of the web;
- Make sure your team can see in the dark. To do this, take the team of elves, dwarves or half-elves. An alternative is to use spells that illuminate the area;
- Learn spells that deal area damage. This is important for dealing with small spiders.
Spider Boots can be found in the Whispering Depths, not far from the matriarch’s habitat. Follow the pit from the descent down and forward past the tunnel, then turn left.
So you find yourself in an abandoned room that has served as a home for someone. At the entrance lies a skeleton that must be searched. Spider boots can be looted from this body.
How to defeat the Phase Spider matriarch
First, remove the small spiders and destroy the eggs that are not far from the boss. It is advisable to do this in stealth mode. In this case, you will noticeably facilitate the course of the battle.
The Womb will still summon regular mobs, but there will be an order of magnitude fewer of them. Attack monsters with area-of-effect spells. Keep in mind that they can teleport behind their backs and attack your team’s weakest heroes.
The matriarch has a large supply of health, so the fight with her will be postponed. It is advisable to decide in advance which fighters will remove ordinary opponents, and which will cause damage to the uterus itself. Hit her with the strongest spell you have.
There is also an alternative. As with normal phase spins, you can try to push the matriarch into the abyss. To do this, you need repugnant spells: Abyssal Light, Thunder Wave or Repulsive Blast. Aim them so that magic blows on the womb bring it closer to the cliff.
