Where to find a dog named Shkryab
The animal lives at the starting location, not far from Extinct Village. From the main gate or the runic circle you need to climb up and then go down from the cliff. Here the dog is waiting for you next to Gomvik’s murdered body.
If this is your first time entering Extinct Village, get ready to pass a few checks to avoid fighting the goblins. Otherwise you have to organize a small massacre. However, you don’t even have to go into the city: immediately after the bridge and before the city gate, turn right (up) and follow the city walls. In the end, you will find yourself in a small clearing where the pet is located.
How to tame a dog
When you are in the right place, you have several options:
- Reach out to pet the dog – the most correct decision;
- Walk around the dog to get to the body – the dog thinks that the owner is asleep, so he protects him;
- drive it away – the pet will be angry.
If you choose the first option, several check marks will appear:
- [Дрессировка] Get down on one knee and show that you don’t wish him any harm;
- [Внимание] Look at the dog’s collar – you will recognize the dog’s name, after which you can turn around and say you will not harm;
- [Запугивание] Stop! – If you want to tame a pet, you should not choose this option.
If you choose the first option, you must make a roll. However, you will have to go through difficulty class 10 if your squad has a hero with the ability “Course”then you can do that easily.
After passing the test, you can pet Shkryab and call him. To do this, select the option “Come on, Shkryab. Behind me”. Than “Give a hand so the dog remembers the smell and can follow you to camp.”. But at the moment the pet will not follow you. He sniffs the main character and later comes to the camp.
How to play ball with Shryab
The next morning, after the next rest, you meet Shkryab again at your camp. There will also be an exclamation point icon glowing above, making it hard to miss.
In the beginning you can only pet the dog, but later you can play football with him. It is worth noting that this item can be purchased from some sellers (players reported that the ball spawns randomly). But even if you did not find the ball from local merchants, Shkryab will bring you toys yourself. To take the ball away from him, you need to pass checks “Power”, “Dexterity” or “Course”.
According to our observations, he will bring the ball to camp around the sixth or seventh half. An exclamation mark will also appear above the dog at this point.
If you pass any of the checks available, you can add the ball to the hotbar and also throw it out of your inventory. When the dog returns the ball to you, it is back in the backpack.
In addition, Shkryab also has the ability to find various objects. During the next stop, you may see an exclamation mark icon above the pet – interact with the dog and do a check to get it to open its mouth (force check). More often than not, he will bring you junky bones, but occasionally he will share healing and other potions with you.
