Publisher PlayWay SA and developer MeanAstronauts released a free version of the action RPG on Steam Robin Hood – Sherwood Builders, subtitled Bandit’s Trail. The game has mixed reviews from gamers.
At the time of writing the news, the project’s rating is 61%.
The main character is the famous thief king Robin Hood. There are also other characters from English folk ballads – Lady Marion, Little John, Brother Tuck, Allan of the Valley and Will Scarlet.
The game features an open world, trading and building systems. For example, gamers can create their own forest camp, which can be developed during the passage.
“You will need to strategically choose a place in the vast Sherwood Forest and provide the inhabitants with suitable living conditions, food, clothing, equipment and weapons for both close and long range combat”says the description.
The player can also independently distribute recruits to special guilds and teach them certain skills. The main aim is to build a community large enough to revolutionize levels of government in Nottingham.
