Polish Studio Bloober team (layers of fear, The Medium and possibly the new Silent Hill) once worked on an Alien game set in the Middle Ages. That reports the publication Gamepressure.
The project was first announced in July 2021. At the time, the game was codenamed Black, details of which were revealed in the documents the studio submitted to participate in the European Union-sponsored Creative Europe program.
Black is conceived as a first-person action game with a focus on exploration, survival and close combat. The game was a story and the hero had to make tough moral decisions. One of the features would be a mysterious race of aliens, who acted as an adversary.

Gamepressure claims it was about xenomorphs. According to the plot, a certain group of cultists worshiped the monster, but at some point it broke loose and killed the fanatics.
The developers had an unusual idea for the presentation of the game. Initially, they wanted to present her to the public as a survivor in a medieval setting, telling about a secret cult and a particular deity. Only after a few trailers would it become clear that the deity was the xenomorph himself.
A few years ago, the project was reportedly pitched by 20th Century Fox, who owned the rights to Alien at the time, and Ridley Scott himself. The idea was received with great enthusiasm, but in March 2019 the rights to the franchise passed into the hands of Disney and the project was closed.
Unfortunately, nothing is known about the current state of the game. In July 2021, Bloober Team CMO Tomasz Gawlikowski stated that the concept of the project has changed a lot.
As the paper notes, the idea of moving the Alien to another time period isn’t new. For example, in 1998, Dark Horse Comics published the Aliens: Stalker comic, in which the Vikings fought back against the xenomorph.
