Apparently, the announcement of a new game in the Witcher universe caused some confusion among fans. Many did not understand if the next part of Geralt’s story continues and what Epic Games has to do with it. In this regard, the head of the company’s PR department, Radek Grabowski, had to to answer to questions on Twitter.
First of all, the game won’t be called The Witcher 4: it’s a completely new saga that won’t necessarily feature characters from the main trilogy. It is possible that events could occur in an entirely different time period.

Despite rumors, the game will not be exclusive to any platform. The gist of the agreement is that CDPR is leaving its own RED Engine in favor of Unreal Engine 5, and the other side will actively support developers.
So far, the developers are not ready to discuss the details about the plot or gameplay. The project has been in the works since the summer of 2021.
Here’s how players reacted to the game’s announcement. Blizzard decided to ban gamers from the DPR and LPR
