The helmet description states that Jane Foster has terminal cancer in Thor 4.

Now exactly has become known about Jane Foster’s terminal illness in Thor 4: Love and Thunder. The girl has cancer, and at some point the heroine will have to visit a new Asgard, perhaps for a magical treatment. After that, her life will change drastically. “Mysterious” fragments of Mjolnir’s hammer will give her strength and turn her into a new superhero – the Mighty Thor. As a result, Jane Foster will be involved in the fight between Gorr the godslayer, whom Thor fights with the Valkyrie and the Guardians of the Galaxy. At the same time, it is worth noting that it is not yet known exactly how the Mjolnir hammer will be assembled from fragments. Most likely, the dwarf Eitri, played by Peter Dinklage, who first appeared in the Avengers: Infinity War movie, will be involved in the repair of the powerful artifact.

Marvel Studios’ new Thor 4: Love and Thunder will be released on July 7, 2022. Thor is played by actor Chris Hemsworth. His assistants are Mighty Thor, Star-Lord and Valkyrie, performed by Natalie Portman, Chris Pratt and Tessa Thompson respectively. The main villain, nicknamed Gorr the Godslayer, is played by Christian Bale.
