Capcom has unexpectedly released a new update for Resident Evil 5, which came out about fourteen years ago. On Steam, the company revealed a list of changes that the patch brought.

First, the update removes support for the Games for Windows Live service, which many gamers have hated from the start. Second, the patch adds local co-op support to the game via split screen.
Other minor bug fixes have also been made, but the developers have not revealed the details.
Recall that the release of Resident Evil 5 took place in 2009 on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. Later, the game was re-released on PS4 and Xbox One, and in 2019 the Nintendo Switch version was released.
