Next month, Royal Mail, Queen II. It will release its latest stamp set featuring the silhouette of Elizabeth. It has been reported Mirror.
The late Queen II. Elizabeth’s silhouette will make its final appearance on UK postage stamps to mark the 100th anniversary of the Flying Scotsman. The special collector’s edition will include 12 stamps depicting the famous British steam locomotive built by Sir Nigel Gresley in 1923. The locomotive was named the “Flying Scotsman” after it was used to travel on the London – Edinburgh – London route.
The new stamps will feature The Flying Scotsman at various iconic locations across the UK: London Victoria Station, Yorkshire Dales National Park, Durham, Pickering Station on the North Yorkshire Morse Railway and more.
A set of 12 stamps in a gift box will be available from 9 March 2023 for £17.70.
