Independent developer MoonGlint has posted a video of an upcoming survival horror game called Echoes of the Living. The game breathes the atmosphere of the 90s and is made in the spirit of the first Resident Evil parts.

The fixed camera, music, enemies, locations and even the images of the main characters are sure to remind gamers of the original RE.
The main action takes place in 1996 in a quiet small town in Northern Europe. One night, a mysterious fog covers the city, turning most of the inhabitants into the living dead.
The game will have two main characters:
- Laurel – tries to find out the fate of her comrades and avoid infection;
- Liam, a former SWAT officer, arrives in a town where he wanted to start a new life with his fiancée. But after the epidemic, everything goes wrong. Now the hero only wants to find his beloved and, together with her, leave the horror in which they find themselves.
Among the features, the developer highlights puzzles, limited ammunition, backtracking, multiple storylines, a fully three-dimensional environment with modern graphics, the ability to upgrade weapons and a soundtrack inspired by the classics of the genre.
Echoes of the Living is expected to be released in the fourth quarter of 2023. On Steam, the project can already be added to the wishlist. Soon the author will release a demo.
Recall that MoonGlint previously showed its remake of the first Resident Evil with first person view and graphics on Unreal Engine 4. ⚖️ Publisher Genshin Impact is suing Discord
