Enthusiast and author of several demakes nicknamed Rustic has published a new video showing what could be the best game of this year Elden Ring, if released in the 1990s on the first PlayStation.

In the video, the author demonstrated a fight with one of the bosses – Godfrey. The battle lasts about four minutes, but in the end the hero manages to defeat the enemy.

To make everything look authentic, the fan has deliberately implemented jittery pixels, blurry backgrounds and low frame rates.

For the implementation he used the Unity engine and the following software: Blender, Photoshop and Cascadeur.

In the comments, gamers note that they liked how the game started out.

“I didn’t like Elden Ring, but I would play this version if it was available”– The white anarcho-capitalist king.

“Honestly, I would buy a game like that today. I love”– Anarky World.

“This is amazing”— Noah Benitez.

In the comments below the video, he noted that this is a playable demo that works in real time. But it is unlikely that the author will release a full-fledged game in this format.

Recall that Elden Ring was released in February on PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. It was recognized as the best game of 2022 at the TGA 2022 ceremony. CDPR released a short film showing the backstory of The Witcher 3
