Many players who bought Goat Simulator 3 in EGS cannot use the gamepad in the game. So they turned to support, but the bot from the official Discord server gave some very strange advice.

He suggested launching the EGS launcher through the Steam library and adding the application manually, as the PC version of the game was only released on the Epic Games store. The bot advises players to do the following:
- Add the EGS client to Steam as a “non-Steam game”.
- Connect controller.
- Make sure it is recognized.
- Launch the EGS client from the Steam library.
- Launch Goat Simulator 3.
The bottom line is that Steam has a Steam Input feature that implements gamepad support, but there’s no such thing in the EGS launcher. This feature must be built into each game separately or it won’t work.
