In Canada, there was a funny incident, which, however, can lead to serious consequences. Three local families are suing Epic Games for their children’s addiction Fortnite. The plaintiffs claim that the children stopped eating, bathing and going to the toilet so as not to be distracted from the game.

The first attempt to file a lawsuit was in 2019, but only now did the court side with the plaintiff. Previously, the allegations were considered baseless. And the lawyers at the law firm that took over the case say the game was originally designed to be highly addictive and aimed at young people.

Lawyers believe Epic Games knew Fortnite was “addictive” but did not warn against it.

The company has already announced that it will appeal the lawsuit. They also noted that the game has a feature that allows parents to track how much their child plays Fortnite and how much money they spend in the game. At the same time, we notice that even professional athletes are fans of Fortnite. The new gameplay of STALKER 2 from The Game Awards lasts two whole seconds!
