The deputy Yana Lantratova of the Chelyabinsk Duma told where she got the list of games that, in her opinion, could break the law. The list is based on the list of GLAAD Media Awards nominees, which is publicly available. Other projects were suggested to her by her friends.

At the same time, Lantratova clarified that she did not intend to ban the games, but only cited them as an example of projects with non-traditional relations. The list was then The last of us, life is strange, precipitation, top legends, fringe world, survey, The Sims 3, various Dragon Age games and Assassin’s Creed.
Earlier, Lantratova proposed legislative changes that would ban violent games and promote non-traditional relationships in them. According to her, this is necessary to protect Russians from destructive game content.
At the same time, Anton Gorelkin, deputy chairman of the information policy committee, criticized such an initiative, calling it “Friday PR”, which will only harm the industry. This also applies to “violent video games”.
A simple example: in February, Atomic Heart by the Russian studio Mundfish enters the world market, and apparently it will be at the level of world hits. Will there be cruelty and violence in it? Yes, because in the computer shooter genre this is a historically established norm. According to the logic of the authors of the initiative, the long-awaited release should be banned. It is easy to predict how this will affect the market: gamers will download the game anyway, a promising Russian company will lose profits and even be fined.
By the way, new screenshots of Atomic Heart appeared on the network earlier 6.9 points – this is how PS4 players rated God of War: Ragnarok on Metacritic
