DICE has announced that it will soon Battlefield 2042 is free for Game Pass and EA Play subscribers. The game will replenish the catalog with the start of the third season, which kicks off in a few weeks in December.
Non-subscribers can also try Battlefield 2042 as part of the free weekend. The promotion is available on all platforms:
- Steam: Dec 1 10:00 PDT – Dec 5 10:00 PDT
- Xbox: Dec 1 10:01 AM PT – Dec 5 10:59 AM PT;
- PlayStation: December 16 noon PT – December 23 noon PT.
The third season adds a new Specialist, a new map and weapons from Portal mode: XM8 from Bad Company 2 and A-91 from Battlefield 3. And in early 2023, the class system will return to the game.
