ANO “Internet Development Institute” continues to award grants for new domestic video games. This time we are talking about 14 projects at once, including a strategy about the supporters of the War of 1812 and a tactical game about the private military company Sparta. According to Kommersant, citing his own sources, these games will create a “positive image of the Russian military.”
The strategy is called “Denis Davydov” (maybe the name will change in the future), about 50 million rubles will be allocated for the project. Release date and details have not been disclosed.
The second project is called “Sparta” and is dedicated to the activities of the eponymous PMC in a fictional African country. About 200 million rubles will be spent on it, excluding marketing costs. Lipsar Studio was responsible for development, previously the company had already received 90 million rubles. Her project interested the IRI. The release is expected in 2024.
Iran noted that Sparta is not a popularization of PMCs and mercenaries. They said this is a game about brave boys from Russia fighting evil in an African country. The novelty will work on the Unity engine and they want to sell it through domestic and foreign platforms. At what stage is the development of both games – is unknown.
Earlier it was announced about the “Trains” project, which is also financed with subsidies from Iran. 😁 In China, they have released a condom line dedicated to the performance of the PSG.LGD team at The International 2022 – if the team wins, the money will be returned to the buyers.
