A popular creator known as Stryder HD keeps imagining Wolverine in new ways. He recently shared a fresh deepfake video that shows British actor Tom Hardy, familiar to Marvel fans from Venom, stepping into the role of Logan.
In the clip, the creator relies on neural network technology to swap Hugh Jackman out of the movie Wolverine: Immortal with Tom Hardy in the title role.
There is renewed talk about Hardy possibly wielding adamantium claws. Last year, filmmaker Matthew Vaughn, who directed X-Men: First Class, named Hardy as one of the top three candidates to wear the Wolverine mantle. The list also included Taron Egerton and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Egerton is known for Kingsman, while Johnson starred in Kick-Ass and Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Earlier experiments by Stryder HD used a neural network to speculate how Wolverine might look if the role went to Karl Urban, known for The Boys, in a hypothetical casting scenario.
