Plastic surgery remains particularly popular among Russian women over 25, with a notable share ready to pursue significant changes in their looks. This perspective was shared with socialbites.ca by the press service of A2: Research, an analytical center, and Belure Vision, a distributor of color lenses.

Experts observe that different generations manage their appearance in distinct ways.

Among the younger cohort, roughly a quarter of those aged 18-24 prefer transformations through cosmetics, while women aged 25-35 and 35-46 show a greater likelihood of seeking professional help, with 19% and 26% respectively indicating they have used cosmetic procedures.

Survey data also reveal that younger respondents expressed greater satisfaction with their appearance, compared to older generations.

Analysts note that about one in five women over 36 rate their own appearance at just four out of ten. Across all respondents, only about 15% of Russian women feel satisfied with their looks.

Health concerns and the possibility of not achieving expected results were cited as common barriers preventing young women from experimenting with their appearance.

When it comes to eye color, nearly half of Russian women do not find their eye color either interesting or memorable. Yet, one in five are not ready for a radical change and prefer simply to enhance their natural eye color.

Blue emerged as the most desired eye color across all age groups, with green and brown following in the top three choices.

Among those surveyed, 36% of young women expressed willingness to experiment with both appearance and eye color, driven largely by a desire to express individuality. The leading motivations for changing appearance included the wish to highlight one’s uniqueness and to attract attention from others.

A former plastic surgeon provided insights into common questions about liposuction, including how long the procedure typically takes and what patients can expect in recovery.
