Starting tomorrow, Telecinco is set to reshape its daytime and primetime lineup with notable scheduling shifts. The network has decided to pull the show hosted by Jorge Javier Vázquez on Thursday evenings, a move influenced by the latest audience metrics for a slot that has underperformed recently. In its place, the network will push a different popular format forward: GH VIP 8. As a result, the second premiere of this reality series will begin earlier in the day at 14:00, marking a 21:50 start time and a shift of 40 minutes earlier than its premiere last week.

The reality competition produced by Zeppelin entered its eighth edition last Thursday, drawing a 13.4% market share and 1,106,000 viewers – a premiere that ranks as the least viewed in the show’s history. Despite the initial setback, the program managed to retain audience momentum through the night, staving off further declines. Meanwhile, MasterChef Celebrity faced its own headwinds after the previous week’s downturn blamed on the friction with the timeslot for Chinese stories. The production of TV factory left a noticeable imprint that evening, capturing 7.4% of the audience and 927,000 viewers.

Ion Aramendi hosted a discussion element that managed to recover some ground, achieving 14.2% and 1,213,000 viewers on Sunday night, notwithstanding the day when Jorge Javier Vázquez served as the opening act. Yesterday’s premiere of GH VIP: 48 hours proved to be well received, pulling in a solid 12% share and 832,000 viewers. In contrast, Chinese Tales slid to a low-water mark, drawing only 6.7% and 868,000 viewers in the same period.

In the current media climate, Telecinco’s reality programming remains a resilient force, maintaining roughly 10% of daily audience share across days. This stability has encouraged the network to allocate more prime-time air time to the format, signaling strong confidence in the category even amid broader market fluctuations. The channel’s strategy has unfolded in two steps: first extending a fresh episode on Tuesday night and now advancing the schedule for the main premiere to a more favorable time slot, aiming to maximize reach and engagement for the series’ audience base.

As part of this broader reshuffle, the show hosted by Marta Flich will now face a direct challenge from El Hormiguero, which is about to air its first episode of the season featuring Pablo Motos. It is anticipated that MasterChef Celebrity will also settle into a late-evening slot, starting around 22:35 on La 1, following the new broadcast window for the popular series. The changes illustrate Telecinco’s ongoing effort to balance marquee dramas and reality formats, while ensuring that fans have a reliable, consistent schedule that aligns with viewing habits and competitive dynamics across the market.
