Who doesn’t remember Rocío Madrid from The Martian Chronicles? She became one of the most recognizable faces on the legendary night hosted by Javier Sardá. A versatile performer, she has proven herself as a presenter, actor, and now a contestant again. Survivors 2024 has shown she is constantly reinventing herself with ease.

After her televised win, Rocío Madrid left the Spanish capital for her hometown of Málaga, carrying a busy, unpredictable schedule that left a mark both in Spain and beyond. She is back at the forefront, taking part in one of Telecinco’s most demanding and extreme reality shows.

Rocío discovered a passion for the stage early in life and dreamed of becoming an artist. The young performer who rose to fame on The Martian Chronicles moved from television to theater, supported by her craft and her work in cinema. Her talent soon filled Madrid stages with early roles in series such as Dear Teacher and Friends. Among her notable works are appearances in plays like The Vagina Monologues and the musical Marta Has a Pacemaker, a performance featuring songs by the pop group Hombres G. She rose to peak fame alongside Javier Sardá, proving her versatility and talent in every appearance.

Grateful for the support she received, she has acknowledged the guidance of Boris Izaguirre. In a recent television discussion, he recalled the challenges he faced as a newcomer in an unfamiliar environment. He also remarked that the experience served as excellent preparation for the professional world ahead.

Now Rocío embarks on an experience she could hardly have imagined, excited and ready for what lies ahead. With casting nearly complete, the Andalusian actress is set to travel to Honduras where she will share the island with a fellow contestant from Alicante. Despite the upcoming move, she often fondly recalls the serenity and connection with nature she found in Málaga, the city where she was born and where she moved seven years ago to escape the bustle of Madrid.

Married and a mother of two

Rocío Madrid is married to Melek Morales, a former footballer who played for clubs such as Espanyol and Alavés. In a conversation with a popular magazine, Rocío spoke of her love and admiration for her husband, highlighting his unwavering support. With him, she enjoys what she values most in life: her two daughters, Candle, 17, and Triana, 13. The girls share a passion for the arts and love watching their mother shine on stage.

Apart from her artistic work, Rocío Madrid takes pride in her decision to return to Málaga and adopt a more sustainable lifestyle. She recently revealed on social media that she began farming and tending a small plot in La Axarquía, Málaga. There she planted a variety of crops, including 2,000 pitayas (dragon fruits), using traditional farming methods to nurture them. This hands-on experience with the land and natural resources will likely benefit her in Survivors, where resourcefulness is key to success.

Note: The journey hints at a deep connection to nature and a practical, grounded approach that could influence her performance in the reality competition.
