Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary to the Russian president, noted that during a visit to Tashkent he kept up with his fitness routine, even while traveling for work. The remarks were shared by a journalist from Rossiya TV, Pavel Zarubin, via his telegram channel.
“I’m trying, yes, I’m trying”, he replied when asked about his commitment to exercising on the road.
According to a Kremlin briefing, the presidential aircraft touched down in the Uzbek capital and, shortly after arriving, Peskov headed straight to the hotel fitness facilities. His workout lasted about an hour and a half and focused on the hotel gym’s exercise equipment, as described in the report.
Just before this, President Vladimir Putin emphasized the importance of daily physical activity, suggesting that enjoyment in exercise comes from choosing a type of activity that suits the individual.
Earlier remarks from Peskov highlighted Putin as a staunch advocate for clean sport, reinforcing the Kremlin’s stance on integrity in athletics.
