The Nord superyacht, valued around 300 million dollars and stretching 142 metres in length, has once again docked in Vladivostok. Images of the visit were shared by the Telegram channel Amur Mash, confirming the vessel’s ongoing presence in the region. The yacht now sits at anchor in the marina, continuing its pattern of visits to Primorye. It previously called at the port last March, continuing a recent cadence of stops in the area. Notably, the vessel has changed flags, shifting from the Cayman Islands to the Russian tricolor, signaling a new chapter in its registrations and identity.

In the world of luxury design, a prominent Italian designer unveiled a concept last year that aims to redefine maritime scale. The project presents a colossal floating city conceived as a yacht in the form of a turtle, named Pangeos. This bold concept mirrors the ambition behind some of the biggest ideas in megayacht and cruise ship development. The name Pangeos evokes the ancient supercontinent Pangaea, suggesting a global reach and a vision of vast, interconnected spaces at sea.

Projected to accommodate as many as 60,000 guests, Pangeos is described as capable of extending to a length of about 550 metres and a width of roughly 610 metres. The proposed build would span several years, with an estimated eight-year construction timeline and a projected budget near eight billion dollars. Travel publications note that, if realized, Pangeos would not only rank among the largest cruise-style vessels ever conceived but would also sit near the top tier of the largest megayachts and ships in the world, redefining what people expect from maritime luxury and hospitality at scale.
