Tina Kandelaki’s son, Leo, is set to appear as one of the characters in the Russian remake of the popular Turkish TV series Knock My Door. Reports confirm that the project has cast him in a role for the adaptation.
Industry outlets note that 22-year-old Leo Kandelaki approached the audition with a mix of ambition and caution. The young actor admitted that this debut on a major screen project came with a degree of nervousness, given the scale of filming and the public attention it would attract.
“Director Vsevolod Aravin is a true master of his craft. He communicated swiftly what the frame needed to convey, and that guidance helped him settle into the process. When I left Mosfilm I thought the chance of a credit would be slim, yet the outcome was different. I am grateful to the team for their trust, and I am committed to giving my best in this role,” Leo shared, as reported by Star Hit.
Leo Kandelaki brings a diverse background to the table, combining professional music work with film and television projects. Over the years he has collaborated with multiple studios and contributed to various soundtracks for Russian programs and serials, broadening his experience beyond performance into the realm of music and production.
“Fate led me to this set, and I felt at home in that environment almost immediately. Honestly, I did not expect to experience such feelings on a first shoot, but the experience was genuinely uplifting,” Leo reflected on his early days in front of the camera.
Earlier reports indicated that the lineup of actresses for the Russian edition of Knock My Door had been announced, adding another layer of anticipation to the project and the ensemble assembled for the screen adaptation.
