Junior Eurovision brought joy to viewers as TVE covered Carlos Higes’ performance during December, a month that benefited from World Cup data from Qatar 2022 powering Spain’s children’s festival after a recent signup. The broadcast secured a 10.1% screen share and reached 1,183,000 viewers, gaining 2.5 points and attracting 272,000 more viewers than the prior year.

Even though the EBU competition did not yet match the peak figures of its Spain debut, Valencia’s sixth-place finish helped push the event toward its second-best performance on TVE since the Spain return, a level only surpassed by Melani in 2019. The telecast, anchored by announcers Tony Aguilar, Julia Varela, and Víctor Escudero, drew 5,155,000 unique viewers in total.
