Choosing the right colors for the season is essential when selecting images and outfits. Style expert Liliya Fattakhova shared practical guidance on socialbites.ca about this approach.

In fresh collections, trendsetters advocate a closer look at milky, warm tones. The expert notes that white garments can elevate status and lend a gentle, airy feel to any look.

“Knitted dresses are a staple. Belted at the waist, they pair beautifully with cocoon silhouettes and contrasting accessories. A white fluffy fur coat or bomber jacket is also a versatile choice. Pairing a milky tweed miniskirt with a voluminous black sweater creates a balanced, stylish contrast,” the stylist explained.

Fattakhova also highlighted the versatility of browns.

“Brown shades offer a rich spectrum—from caramel and cream to deep cognac. Look for knitted dresses, silk midi skirts, and silhouette coats in these tones. Noble brown harmonizes with blue and white, giving your look a refreshed edge,” she added.

Another color category to consider is green.

“When trying green pieces, add a metallic touch through jewelry to craft a contemporary vibe. A long, slim coat in a metallic shade over the shoulders also provides a bright, versatile accent for fall. A green silk scarf can inject color in a playful yet refined way,” Fattakhova advised.

Attention was also given to the timeless all-black ensemble. The stylist recommends pairing a low-slung, loose sweater with straight-cut black trousers, or a maxi or midi silk skirt with a voluminous black jacket that remains showcased over the shoulder.

Seasonal elegance carries through classic silhouettes and modern touches alike, guiding how to compose outfits that feel both current and timeless as autumn and early winter unfold in North American wardrobes.
