A playable demo for Dynasty Warriors: Origins, the prequel to the popular action series, has arrived on Steam and the major console storefronts. The trial lets players join one battle and a handful of large-scale skirmishes, giving a tangible feel for the rhythm and scale of the full game. The promotional access is not available in Russia.
The demo reimagines the Battle of Xishui Gate with fresh visuals and tactical depth, introducing encounters against formidable rivals such as Lu Bu and other officers. Players will contend with expansive army formations and dramatic battlefield moments, often as a lone commander standing before roaring ranks. Four weapon types are available, including a standard sword, with options to equip and fine-tune accessories that influence loadouts. The trial also includes multiple difficulty settings to suit different skill levels.
The demo can be downloaded on Steam and on the PlayStation and Microsoft stores for current-generation consoles. It is not accessible in the Russian region.
At the same time, pre-orders for Dynasty Warriors: Origins have begun. The standard version is priced at $70, with the Deluxe Edition offering three days of early access for $90. Early buyers who reserve a copy will receive a unique costume as a bonus.
Dynasty Warriors: Origins is scheduled for release on January 17, 2025.
