Chronic fatigue is a condition characterized by extreme stress and a persistent sense of exhaustion that drains daily energy. Productivity dips and social interactions can become strained as a result. Yana Gribuk, CEO and partner of Health Buddy, an online mentoring service focused on improving and maintaining health, spoke about the impact of this condition in a discussion with socialbites.ca.
“At first, irritability, trouble sleeping, morning fatigue, grogginess, and frequent colds often appear. Over time, many experience a sustained energy deficit that does not improve after time off, a mental haze, reduced interest in work, and diminished empathy,” the expert noted.
Gribuk outlined several strategies to counteract the effects of overwork and fatigue. The guidance emphasizes staying conscious of one´s own limits and adopting practical routines that support well-being.
“Managing fatigue requires a high level of awareness. Practicing meditation and deep breathing can help calm the nervous system. To make the body feel capable and effective, it is important to prioritize tasks, plan work time, and break large projects into smaller steps. Gradually introducing physical activity is also key to building resilience,” Gribuk explained.
She added that establishing a regular sleep schedule and balancing nutrition are essential steps. Keeping a sleep diary can help identify patterns that impact energy levels, while thoughtful meal timing and nutrient balance support steadier energy throughout the day.
The conversation also touched on the broader reality that entrepreneurs often face in relation to health. The discussion highlights practical, everyday measures that can help maintain energy and focus in demanding work environments while protecting long-term well-being. It is clear that consistent routines, mindful self-care, and accessible support networks play a critical role for those balancing intense workloads with personal health goals.
