Actor Colin Firth’s ex-wife Livia Giuggioli has opened up about her battle with cancer. This was reported by Daily mail.
Livia Giuggioli, 54, shared a series of photos from her hospital room, describing her post-surgery condition.
“A few weeks ago, thanks to my regular annual mammogram, my doctor (a wonderful woman named Margherita) made an early diagnosis. After additional tests, I was diagnosed with carcinoma in situ. The early stages of cancer that could have very serious consequences in a few months. I started treatment immediately and now it’s gone,” she wrote.
Livia Giuggioli also stressed that she was grateful that the disease did not progress further.
“I am so grateful to have access to first-class medical care. But I understand that millions of people are denied these rights, and I don’t take any of this for granted,” Firth’s ex-wife concluded.
Livia Giuggioli is an Italian activist. She is an advocate for sustainability in the fashion industry, most notably for founding the Green Carpet Fashion Award. She also produced the film I’ve Been in Prison All My Life. Giuggioli married British actor Colin Firth in 1997, but they divorced in 2019.
